FundedSquad verdict: pros, cons and who it suits
Our take in one line: FundedSquad offers a static drawdown (on some plans) and no evaluation consistency rule; the catch is an intraday trailing drawdown (on some plans).
Pros
- Static drawdown (on some plans): the loss floor never moves up
- No consistency rule in the evaluation
- No consistency rule on funded payouts
- Part of the evaluation fee is refunded
- No activation fee after you pass
- No evaluation time limit
Cons
- Intraday trailing drawdown (on some plans): the floor follows unrealised peaks
- Hard daily loss limit: one bad day fails the account
- Minimum trade duration of 120 seconds
- No trading 4 min around high-impact news on funded accounts
Best for
- Traders with uneven daily results (no consistency rule)
- Patient traders who do not want a deadline
Avoid if
- You sometimes have one big red day
- You scalp trades shorter than 120 seconds
- You trade high-impact news releases
Every point is worked out from one rule field in our data (see the rules below); empty fields are left out, not guessed. Where a plan differs, the point says “on some plans”. Check “What we could not fully verify” further down before you buy. Not financial advice.
Regulation: No financial-regulator licence found. Evaluation fees are not covered by investor compensation. Funded accounts are simulated per the firm’s terms.

If you pass on the first try: $649
Each extra try counted as a new evaluation at $649 (reset fee unverified).
Most traders need more than one try. Firm-reported figures: The Funded Trader said 5–10% of its challenges are passed (Finance Magnates), and FPFX Tech data showed that about 7% of traders reached a payout (Finance Magnates, September 2024). At a 10% pass rate you need 10 tries per pass on average (1 ÷ 10%). These are not figures for FundedSquad.

- Hedging strictly prohibited (same account, own accounts, other traders, or vs other firms); martingale/grid recovery banned; max 2 open positions per asset (3+ is layering); max 70% margin use; latency/stale-price/arbitrage exploits banned. Copying allowed only between own FundedSquad accounts. Trades must be held at least 2 minutes (add-on removes this for accounts up to $10K, not Instant Flex). Funded floating-loss rule: combined open loss reaching 1.5% of initial balance (1% on Instant Flex) is a violation - first cuts profit split to 40% (30% Flex), second closes the account (Instant Lite/Pro: first breach terminates on accounts bought from 31 Aug 2026). A trading day counts only with >=0.5% profit on initial balance. Max lot sizes per account size apply. No free retry on Instant Flex.

What we could not fully verify (10)
- Prices come from the price table embedded in the homepage source (identical on MT5, Match-Trader and cTrader). The visible widget on the page only shows an example for a $20K account. Dollar amounts for targets, drawdown and daily loss are calculated from the stated percentages x account size; the pages state percentages (and examples) only.
- Rules per model were read from help-center articles; the homepage and the help center differ: homepage says 'Up To 100%' split, 'No Consistency Rules' and '100% Refundable Fee', while the help center says 80% default (100% only with a paid add-on) and refunds only after set payouts (2nd payout evaluation, 3rd instant, 4th for 1 Step Pro). Help-center values were used.
- Instant Lite and Instant Pro refunds were discontinued for accounts bought on or after 31 Aug 2026 12:00 PM UK; Instant Flex has no refund. Older rule versions (40% split after first floating-loss breach on Instant) apply to earlier purchases.
- Instant Lite tier drawdownType is set to trailing_intraday: the help center says 6% trailing equity-based that locks at the initial balance; intraday vs end-of-day mechanics are not stated.
- 1 Step Pro Phase-1 drawdown is 10% static (funded 6% static); the tier stores the Phase-1 value. Instant Pro tiers are 2.5K-100K; the homepage example was a $25K account.
- The price table also contains 1 Step Flex, 2 Step Flex and (per help center) Instant Rapid products; no rules were read for them, so they are not included.
- Daily loss reference (start-of-day balance vs initial balance, balance vs equity) is worded inconsistently in the articles.
- Funded stage is described as simulated/demo in the Terms (Important Information) but Section 5.1 mentions allocation of a 'live account'; treated as simulated.
- Terms of Service has no explicit date (page metadata shows modified 2024-09-23).
- Trustpilot shows a mostly 1-star profile with payout-rejection complaints (see trust file).
