- Firms with an unknown rule are left out, not counted as “no rule”.

What a consistency rule does
A consistency rule limits how much of your profit may come from a single day. With a 40% rule, no day may account for more than 40% of the total. If one day does, the firm either raises the amount you must make, delays the payout, or (rarely) fails the account.
43 of 78 firms (55%) have no consistency rule on the main evaluation. 26 firms have one; the rest have not published a rule we could verify.

Worked example: one big day
Take Elite Trader Funding 50K 1 Step: profit target $3,000. Suppose you make $1,800 on one day, 60% of the target.
Without a consistency rule, you only need $1,200 more. With a 40% rule (the median among firms that have one), $1,800 may be at most 40% of the total, so the total must reach $4,500 before you pass: $2,700 more instead of $1,200.
That is why a no-consistency firm suits traders whose results come in bursts. It does not make the account easier to keep: the drawdown still decides that.
Evaluation vs funded consistency
This list uses the evaluation rule. Some firms with no evaluation consistency rule add one to the funded account before a payout, and some do the opposite. FAQ
What is a consistency rule in prop trading?
A cap on how much of your total profit one day may represent, such as 40%. If your best day is larger, you must make more profit before passing or before a payout.
Is a prop firm without a consistency rule easier?
It removes one way to be delayed after a big day. The drawdown type, profit target and payout rules matter at least as much.
Can a firm have no evaluation consistency rule but one on the funded account?
Yes. Several firms apply a consistency rule only to payouts. Check the funded rules on the firm page.
How do I check whether my results pass a consistency rule?
Divide your best day by your total profit. If the share is above the firm’s percentage, you need more total profit. Our consistency rule checker does the calculation.
