How we compare prop firms

We track 55 firms and 165 products. This page explains where the numbers come from and how the tables are ordered.

Every firm is listed, with or without an affiliate link

Whether a firm has an affiliate program, and whether we have signed up to it, plays no role in whether it appears on the site or where it appears. Firms without an affiliate link are listed the same way and link to their own website. Our how we make money page explains the commission model.

One row per product

A product is one purchasable program of a firm (for example a 1-step, a 2-step, an instant-funding or an end-of-day variant). Firms often sell several products at the same account size with different rules, so each product gets its own row and its own rules: drawdown model, consistency rule, activation fee, news and weekend trading, payout terms.

Where the data comes from

Prices, targets, drawdowns and rules are taken from each firm’s own site, configurator or help center. Where a firm shows prices only in a checkout we may use a clearly dated secondary source and note it. Percentage-based programs are converted to dollars from the account size. Anything we could not confirm is shown as “Unverified” instead of being guessed.

How the tables are ordered

The default order is by evaluation price for the selected account size, cheapest first. You can also sort by target-to-drawdown ratio, price per $1,000 of drawdown, or name. There is no paid placement, and a commission rate is never an input. Cheapest does not mean best: read the rules, the activation fee and the payout terms before buying.

Discount codes and promo prices

List prices are what the firm charges without a code. Where we know a visitor code, you can show prices with the code applied using the toggle above the table; the struck-through number is the list price. Codes and promotions change quickly, so confirm the final price at checkout.

Freshness and corrections

Each firm shows the date we last verified it. Rules and prices change often, and some mistakes will slip through. If you spot a wrong number, tell us and we will check it against the firm’s site.
