1. Who is responsible (controller)

The controller for this website (propfirmvs.com) is PropFirmVS, based in the Netherlands. You can reach us for any privacy question or request at the email address below; we answer within one month, as the GDPR requires.

2. What we process, why, and for how long

• Affiliate click log: firm, page you came from (referrer), page of the button, browser user agent, country (from Cloudflare), device type, time, and the firm’s promo code if one applies

Our legitimate interest is running, measuring and protecting a free comparison site that is paid for by affiliate commissions. We keep this light: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no profiling, no automated decisions about you, and the logs are only looked at in totals. The visitor ID is not sent at all when your browser has “Do Not Track” switched on.

3. Who processes data for us

• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) hosts the whole site: content delivery, the code that runs it (Cloudflare Workers) and the database (Cloudflare D1). Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and to protect the site against attacks. It acts as our processor under its Data Processing Addendum. Transfers to the United States rely on Cloudflare’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Cloudflare gives us traffic statistics in totals (requests, page views, countries), not data about individual visitors. Technical error logs of the code that runs the site are kept by Cloudflare for a few days only. More: Cloudflare privacy policy.
• We do not run Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other third-party analytics script in your browser.

We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone else, and we do not use advertising networks.

4. When you click through to a prop firm

Buttons such as “Get deal” and “Visit site” go through a short redirect on our site (/go/…), which writes the click log described above, and then open the firm’s own website. Some of these links are affiliate links: they tell the firm that the visit came from PropFirmVS (for example with utm_source=propfirmvs), so that the firm can pay us a commission. We do not pass your name, email or IP address to the firm. Once you are on the firm’s site, the firm decides what it collects (including its own cookies) and its privacy policy applies, not ours.

5. Cookies and storage in your browser

The public site sets no cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Two features remember your choices in your own browser’s local storage. This never leaves your device and we cannot read it:

• pfvs_cmp: the firms you ticked for side-by-side comparison (up to 3).
• pfvs_cols2: which columns you chose to show in the comparison tables.

You can delete these at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. The site’s private admin area uses two strictly necessary cookies (__Host-vsb_session for a signed login session of up to 8 hours and __Host-vsb_state during the Google sign-in step). They are set only for the site’s operators when they sign in, never for visitors.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You also have the right to object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). Email info@propfirmvs.com; we answer within one month. For the click and visitor logs we hold no name or email, so to find your entries we may ask for details such as the approximate time and browser you used; the daily visitor ID cannot be traced back to you without the secret key and your exact IP address and browser.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens; you can also contact the authority in the EU country where you live.

7. Other points

• Security: the whole site runs over HTTPS only, with a strict content security policy. The database is reachable only by the site’s own code and its operators.
• This site is for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
• We will update this notice when what we collect changes, and change the date at the top.
