What instant funding means
An instant funded account (also called straight to funded, direct funding or zero-step) has no evaluation phase. You buy the account and trade it as a funded account from the first day. There is no profit target to reach first.
The firm protects itself in other ways, usually a smaller drawdown relative to the account size, a higher price and stricter payout conditions. The tables below show these values for every instant product in our data.

With no target to reach, the rules that decide whether you get paid are the drawdown, the daily limit and the funded payout conditions. Across the 298 instant products from 42 firms in our data:
- A payout buffer: profit you must build above the starting balance before anything is withdrawable.
- Winning-day requirements per payout, each above a minimum profit.
- A consistency rule on payouts, and payout caps per request.

- The split on the first payouts, and whether each payout is capped.

What is an instant funding prop firm?
A prop firm that sells accounts without an evaluation phase: you buy the account and trade it as a funded account straight away. The profit target is replaced by payout conditions such as a buffer, winning days or a consistency rule.

Is an instant funded account worth it?
At 50K in futures, the median instant product costs $230 per $1,000 of drawdown against $66 for evaluation products (list prices, before activation fees). Instant accounts cost more for less room, so they suit experienced traders who value starting at once. A cheaper evaluation usually teaches the same rules for less money.
Do instant funding accounts have a daily loss limit?
Some do and some do not: of the 298 instant products, 236 have one, 60 have none and 2 are unverified. The tables show each firm’s value.
Are instant funding accounts live capital?
Usually not: most funded accounts at prop firms are simulated, with payouts paid by the firm. The firm page states the funded account type and any path to live capital where we verified it.
