The Trading Pit Futures verdict: pros, cons and who it suits
Our take in one line: The Trading Pit Futures offers end-of-day drawdown and a soft daily loss limit; the catch is a 20–40% evaluation consistency rule.
Pros
- End-of-day drawdown: intraday peaks do not move the floor
- Trailing drawdown stops trailing at the starting balance
- Daily loss limit is soft: trading pauses for the day, the account is not failed
- Fast first payout: eligible after 5 days
- No activation fee after you pass
- Market data included in the evaluation
- No news-trading window in evaluation or funded accounts
Cons
- 20–40% consistency rule in the evaluation (raises the target if one day is too big)
- 20% consistency rule on funded payouts on some plans
- 30-day evaluation time limit
Best for
- Traders who want an early first payout
- News traders
Avoid if
- You make most of your profit on one or two big days
- You hold positions overnight
Every point is worked out from one rule field in our data (see the rules below); empty fields are left out, not guessed. Where a plan differs, the point says “on some plans”. Check “What we could not fully verify” further down before you buy. Not financial advice.
Regulation: No financial-regulator licence found. Evaluation fees are not covered by investor compensation. Funded accounts are simulated per the firm’s terms.

If you pass on the first try: $99
Each extra try counted as a reset at $79 (firm-wide figure; may vary by size).
Most traders need more than one try. Firm-reported figures: The Funded Trader said 5–10% of its challenges are passed (Finance Magnates), and FPFX Tech data showed that about 7% of traders reached a payout (Finance Magnates, September 2024). At a 10% pass rate you need 10 tries per pass on average (1 ÷ 10%). These are not figures for The Trading Pit Futures.
Payout buffer: Prime: up to 50% of realized profit per request, capped at $2,500

- Daily loss limit
- Soft: trading stops for the day, the account stays open; measured from previous end-of-day balance; resets 16:15 CT (50K: $1,000 / $1,200 · 100K: $2,000 / $2,200 · 150K: $3,000) — Prime challenge Daily Pause $1,000/$2,000/$3,000: positions closed, paused to next day; limit = prior close minus pause, checked vs equity. Removed from Earning.
- Consistency (evaluation)
- 20% / 40% (varies by plan) — best day measured as a share of the profit target; going over it raises the profit target

What we could not fully verify (9)
- All trading is on simulated accounts. Under the firm's terms, rewards are discretionary and the reward rate can be set as low as 0%, so 'profit split' here means the stated maximum reward rate, not a guaranteed payout.
- Futures Prime lists a $129 activation fee struck through and shown as $0. We list $0; confirm at checkout, as it may depend on the current promotion.
- The 35% promotion applies to Prime and Instant challenges. The firm publishes no end date and does not say whether the discount comes from code OCT35 or from the partner link.
- Daily Pause on Prime ($1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000) closes positions and pauses the account until the next day; it is not a breach, and applies to the challenge phase only. Instant uses a dynamic pause that starts at $1,200 (50K) and $2,200 (100K).
- Help-center pages disagree on trading hours (close at 15:10 CT versus 15:55 CT). Prime positions still open at 14:55 CT are closed by the firm.
- Prime reset fees are $79 / $149 / $229 and extension fees equal the challenge price. The Prime minimum reward amount is not stated. Instant has no resets.
- Maximum accounts: Prime allows 5 active Earning accounts; Instant allows 2. The number of challenges you may buy is not stated.
- Futures Classic is described in the help center but is not on the current futures page, so it is not listed.
- Platform list and data fees: CME Level 1 data is included; add-on data packages cost $12 to $41 per month.
Is The Trading Pit Futures legit?
The Trading Pit Futures was founded in 2022 (4 years ago). Its terms name The Trading Pit Challenge GmbH (group: The Trading Pit AG, The Trading Pit Champions GmbH, The Trading Pit Limited, Cyprus) (Liechtenstein (Vaduz); Cyprus group entity) as the operating company. We list 3 reported events with sources in the trust signals above. Our label from these public signals: mixed trust signals. It is a summary of checkable facts, not a guarantee.
The Trading Pit Futures consistency rule
Evaluation: 20% / 40% (varies by plan) — best day measured as a share of the profit target; going over it raises the profit target. Funded payouts: none / 20% (varies by plan) — best day measured as a share of the profit target; going over it raises the profit target. Details: Futures Prime challenge: best day may not exceed 40% of the profit target (accounts from 14 Jul 2026); if exceeded you do not fail, the target is raised to best day divided by 0.40. Does not apply to Earning accounts. Futures Instant: best day may not exceed 20% of total profit before a reward request; it delays the reward, it does not breach the account.
The Trading Pit Futures scaling plan
