How we selected these firms
- The firm publishes a restricted-country list and the United States is not on it.
- Firms that list the United States only partly (one platform or region) are not included.
- Firms with no published or retrievable list are excluded, because we cannot verify them.
This page is not legal advice. Whether you may use a prop firm also depends on local law and the firm’s identity checks at payout.
How we checked eligibility
55 of the 78 firms we track publish a list of countries they do not serve. 47 of those lists do not include the United States; 7 do, and 1 restricts the United States only partly (for example one platform or one region).
The other 23 firms publish no complete list (or we could not retrieve it), so we cannot say whether they accept traders from the United States. They are excluded from this page, not counted as accepting you. Being missing from a list is not a promise either: firms change their lists, and identity checks (KYC) at the first payout decide in the end. Always read the firm’s current terms.
What traders from the United States should know
Futures prop firms are the obvious fit for US residents: most of them are US-based companies trading CME products, and the platforms (Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic) are built for the US market.
Forex and CFD firms are a different story. Several of the firms on this page accept US residents but do not offer them MetaTrader 5, and route them to another platform instead; the notes column flags this. If you rely on MT5 Expert Advisors, check this before you buy.
