The5ers Futures verdict: pros, cons and who it suits
Our take in one line: The5ers Futures offers end-of-day drawdown and a fee refund; the catch is a hard daily loss limit.
Pros
- End-of-day drawdown: intraday peaks do not move the floor
- Evaluation fee is refunded (per the firm’s terms)
- No activation fee after you pass
- Market data included in the evaluation
- No evaluation time limit
- No news-trading window in evaluation or funded accounts
Cons
- Hard daily loss limit: one bad day fails the account
- 40% consistency rule in the evaluation (raises the target if one day is too big)
- 40% consistency rule on funded payouts
Best for
- Patient traders who do not want a deadline
- News traders
Avoid if
- You sometimes have one big red day
- You make most of your profit on one or two big days
- You hold positions over the weekend
- You trade with bots or EAs
Every point is worked out from one rule field in our data (see the rules below); empty fields are left out, not guessed. Where a plan differs, the point says “on some plans”. Check “What we could not fully verify” further down before you buy. Not financial advice.
Regulation: No financial-regulator licence found. Evaluation fees are not covered by investor compensation. Funded accounts are simulated per the firm’s terms.

If you pass on the first try: $100
Each extra try counted as a new evaluation at $100 (reset fee unverified).
Most traders need more than one try. Firm-reported figures: The Funded Trader said 5–10% of its challenges are passed (Finance Magnates), and FPFX Tech data showed that about 7% of traders reached a payout (Finance Magnates, September 2024). At a 10% pass rate you need 10 tries per pass on average (1 ÷ 10%). These are not figures for The5ers Futures.
Payout buffer: Payout requires a funded account, >=4% profit over the initial balance and account age >=14 days.

No daily limit is listed for 25K/50K, but no page states 'none' explicitly. Basis and reset time are not stated.

What we could not fully verify (12)
- Swing 100K ($189) and 150K ($219), their 2.5% hard daily loss limit ($2,500/$3,750) and their overnight limits (2 mini/20 micro, 3 mini/30 micro) appear only in Japanese FAQs on the5ers.com. The English futures page shows only 25K and 50K, but English FAQs list 100K/150K contract limits (8/80, 12/120) and account caps.
- Day Trade 100K/150K: English FAQs (contract limits, account caps) and the Japanese daily-loss FAQ name 100K/150K for 'Day Trade and Swing', but no Day Trade 100K/150K price is published, so those tiers are omitted.
- Swing pricing: the English FAQ 'What do I get with the Futures Summer Plan?' (21 Jul) calls the reduced Swing pricing a limited-time offer through end of summer. The later FAQ 'What is the Futures Summer Plan?' (23 Jul) and the Japanese price FAQ say the price drops and new sizes are permanent. The futures page labels the Swing row 'Summer Plan Price' ($69/$120). The current prices are used as list prices (old list $120/$240).
- Daily loss limit for 25K/50K is not stated anywhere. The futures page table and the English general-rules FAQ list no daily limit, and the Japanese rules overview names a daily drawdown only for 100K/150K, so hasDailyLossLimit is null at firm level and on 25K/50K tiers.
- Consistency unit conflicts: the futures page says 'Per Position', and the general rules and 'What is the consistency rule' FAQs say 'one trade'. Other FAQs use 'best trading day'. One FAQ (id 1953549) uses a 50% example. The P&L basis also conflicts: one FAQ says gross P&L including losers, its example and another FAQ count winning trades only.
- Close time conflicts: the futures page says positions must be closed by 4:50 PM ET (10 min before close), the market-hours FAQ says 4:50 PM CT (inside the stated 4:00-5:00 PM CT break), and the programs/overnight FAQs say 4:50 PM CET.
- Max accounts: English futures page FAQ gives 5 each for 25K and 50K (Day Trade + Swing combined), 2 for 100K and 1 for 150K, set per tier; firm-level maxAccounts stays null because it differs by size. The Japanese FAQs say a maximum of 5 accounts in total, which conflicts.
- The payout cap is '3%' for all accounts with no base stated (initial balance vs profit), so payoutCapUsd/maxPayoutUsd are null. No minimum payout amount is stated (minPayoutUsd null).
- Commissions: the FAQ table header says 'Round Turn Commission' ($5.00 standard, $2.50 micro), but its summary says '$5.00 per side' / '$2.50 per side', so commission fields are null.
- The reset fee is not published. The data provider/feed is not named (the FAQ only says market data is included at no extra cost; the page says 'Approved by the CME').
- Scaling example arithmetic differs: the English page/FAQ show a new balance of $52,500 for 50K + 5% + $4,000 profit share, while the Japanese FAQ shows $56,500.
- Drawdown lock: no lock point is stated. The 4% EOD max loss trails the highest midnight balance or equity and resets to 4% below the balance after each payout.
Is The5ers Futures legit?
The5ers Futures was founded in 2016 (10 years ago). Its terms name Five Percent Online Ltd (United Kingdom (company no. 12553363) and Israel (515864007)) as the operating company. On Trustpilot it has 4.5 / 5 from 399 reviews (checked 2026-10-18). No financial-regulator licence found. Evaluation fees are not covered by investor compensation. Funded accounts are simulated per the firm’s terms. Our label from these public signals: strong trust signals. It is a summary of checkable facts, not a guarantee.
The5ers Futures consistency rule
Evaluation: 40% — best day measured as a share of total profit; going over it raises the profit target. Funded payouts: 40% — best day measured as a share of total profit; going over it raises the profit target. Details: 40% in evaluation and funded stage (futures page table 'Consistency Rule - Per Position 40%' for both columns; FAQ: 'This rule applies on funded accounts as well'). Best trade must be <=40% of total profits; if not, keep trading until it is (required total = best / 0.40). Not a breach: only blocks passing/payout/scale-up. Pages disagree on the unit (single trade vs best trading day) and on whether losing trades are deducted.
The5ers Futures scaling plan
Fixed per size, same in evaluation and funded: 25K 2 mini/20 micro, 50K 4/40, 100K 8/80, 150K 12/120. Funded scaling: every 10% profit milestone the account is reissued with balance +5% and +1 mini/+10 micro, up to $500K. Contracts allowed at the start of the funded account: 25K: 2 · 50K: 4 · 100K: 8 · 150K: 12.
