Which prop firm fits my strategy?

Describe how you trade. For every product at your account size we check the rules that decide pass or fail: drawdown room in stop-outs, daily loss limit, position size, minimum trade duration, news windows, overnight and weekend holding, consistency rules and commissions. The result is a ranked, explained list you can share.

    How this is calculated

Every product is checked at the account size you pick. Values come from our verified firm data; a rule we have not verified is shown as Unverified and never guessed.

    • Stop-outs until max drawdown = max drawdown ÷ your stop, rounded down. Under 3 = does not fit, 3–5 = caution, 6+ = fits. With an intraday trailing drawdown, open profit you give back also counts, so the real room is smaller.
    • Daily loss limit = DLL ÷ your stop. If a single stop exceeds a hard DLL the product does not fit; with a soft DLL it is a caution (the day ends, the account survives).
    • Position size: your contracts against the maximum contracts for that size. For micros we use the published micro limit, or 10 micros per mini when only the mini limit is published (labelled).
    • Minimum hold: compared with the firm's minimum trade duration. If your whole hold-time bucket is shorter, it does not fit; if the minimum falls inside the bucket, caution.
    • News, overnight, weekend: only checked when you tick the habit. A published news window is a caution.
    • Consistency: your best-day share is compared with the evaluation and the funded consistency percentage. Above the limit is a caution (more profit or days needed), or does not fit when the firm fails the account for it.
    • Commission drag = round-turn commission × contracts × trades per day, when the firm publishes it.
    • Cost to get funded = list evaluation price (× months when billed monthly) + activation fee. Discount codes are ignored so they never change the order.
    • Ranking: does-not-fit items, then caution items, then unverified checks, then cost to get funded (lowest first).

    Frequently asked questions

Which prop firm fits a scalping strategy?

Scalpers should look for a firm without a minimum trade duration (some firms void profits on trades shorter than 10 seconds or a few minutes), with low round-turn commissions and a drawdown that survives many small stop-outs. Pick "under 10 seconds" or "10–60 seconds" as hold time and the tool flags every product with a conflicting rule.

What does "stop-outs until max drawdown" mean?

It is the number of full losing trades in a row, at your stop size, before the maximum drawdown is used up: max drawdown divided by your stop in dollars, rounded down. Fewer than 3 is marked "does not fit", 3 to 5 is "caution".

Why is a product marked "Unverified" for some checks?

We only use rules that are published by the firm and verified by us. When a value is missing it is shown as unverified instead of guessed. Unverified checks do not make a product fail, but they push it down the ranking.

Does the ranking depend on affiliate commissions?

No. The order is: fewest problems first, then fewest caution items, then fewest unverified checks, then the lowest cost to get funded at list price. Commissions never enter the ranking.

These calculators use simplified, textbook versions of each rule and are not financial advice. Always read the firm’s own rules.
