Start with your trading style
Scalpers who trade many small trades are hurt by intraday trailing drawdowns. Swing traders need weekend holding. News traders need news rules. Decide your must-haves first, then use the filters on the overview page.
The checklist
Before paying, check each of these on the firm’s own site:
- Drawdown model and whether the floor locks.
- Consistency rule and which phase it applies in.
- Total fees: evaluation, activation, data, resets.
- Payout conditions and buffer.
- News and weekend rules.
- Platform and market-data support.
- How long the firm has operated and how it handles payout disputes.
Start small
Pay for the smallest account first. The rules are identical in structure, and you learn how the firm behaves for a fraction of the cost.
