What an evaluation costs

To compare account sizes fairly we divide the evaluation price by the account size in thousands. A $150 evaluation for a $50,000 account is $3.00 per $1,000. The table shows the median across every account size we track.

MarketFirmsMedian price per $1k of accountMedian cost to get fundedEvaluations billed monthly
Futures28$3.40$36833% of account sizes
Forex & CFD42$7.67$2500% of account sizes
Crypto7$9.00$2750% of account sizes

“Cost to get funded” is the evaluation price plus the activation fee (two months of fees when the evaluation is billed monthly). It is left out where the activation fee is unverified.

Cheapest way to get funded, by market

The five lowest total costs for the most common account size in each market, one line per firm: the evaluation price plus the activation fee (monthly evaluations count two months). We rank by this total, not by the headline price, because some firms advertise a small entry price and charge the real fee only after you pass. A low cost is not the same as good value, so compare the drawdown and rules on each firm’s page.

Account sizes whose activation fee is unverified are left out of this ranking.

Which drawdown type is common

The drawdown type decides how much room a trade has to move. It follows the firm’s main evaluation program. See end-of-day, trailing intraday and static drawdown explained.

Consistency rules and payout speed

A consistency rule limits how much of your profit may come from one day. First payout is the number of days a trader typically waits before the first withdrawal, as stated by the firm (a median over the firms where we have verified it).

MarketFirms with a rule on at least one programFirms with none on any programMedian days to first payout
Futures23 of 285 of 284 days (14 firms)
Forex & CFD18 of 4219 of 4214 days (32 firms)
Crypto2 of 75 of 70 days (5 firms)

Firms with neither a confirmed rule nor a confirmed “none” are counted in neither column. Details per firm: payout rules compared.

Method, data and how to cite

Rules and prices come from each firm’s own site and help center and are re-checked automatically every night; empty values mean unverified, never guessed. Medians use list prices in USD. Firms are grouped by their primary market. Read the full methodology.
